Meet the Team

Tom

National Director of Study Abroad

Thrilled by adventures in new places and inspiring students with bold Kingdom vision, Tom is in his dream job. He has worked with InterVarsity for over 22 years, at Brown, Yale, Wesleyan, Southern CT State, and several other CT universities. In 2013, Tom and his family (3 sons, 1 wife) moved to Madison, WI, to create and lead a national ministry helping students leverage their study abroad for mission.

Bridget

Spiritual Formation Coordinator

After experiencing 165 miles of the Camino de Santiago in Spain, Bridget knew that the practice of pilgrimage would be a vital invitation to this generation and their spiritual formation. She joins the team from Arizona and directs and develops our European pilgrimages offered to study abroad students as well as staff or partners of InterVarsity.

Michelle

Student Advisor & Discipleship Coordinator

Michelle is originally from New Hampshire and now lives in Rhode Island. In her college years, she studied abroad for a semester abroad in Bilbao, Spain. It was during these formational years that she sensed a tug towards global ministry. Michelle was a campus staff at a few universities in New England. She loves seeing students grow in their relationships with Jesus during their time abroad.

Adri

Associate Director of Study Abroad

Adri is a Dutch native who has studied in Groningen, the Netherlands; Salzburg, Austria; and California, USA. Before he joined the team he served international students as InterVarsity campus staff in the Northwest. Now, Adri helps staff to inspire their American students to study abroad with God at the center.

Josh

Via Divina Director

Walking the Camino de Santiago with students in 2018 is the highlight of Josh’s staff career. When Covid forced the cancellation of Journey Spain in 2020, he and other team members co-created the Digital Camino. This became Via Divina. Josh is currently leading the third iteration of this digital pilgrimage which will focus on the lives of Francis and Clare of Assisi.

Joshua

Europe Liaison

Doing ministry work on five continents during his childhood instilled Joshua with a passion for connecting people with God in cross-cultural contexts. In his role, Joshua uses his experience in multicultural ministry and time as an international student in Europe to minister to students as they study abroad.

Aria

Communications &
Operations Manager

Through her own solo travels, study abroad experience, and walking part of the Camino de Santiago, Aria became passionate about the importance of sharing the vision of God’s global kingdom. Originally from Arizona where she studied Global Studies and participated in InterVarsity’s ministry as a college student, Aria is excited to be playing a part in student’s study abroad experiences.
