St. Francis of Assisi’s radical obedience to Christ sparked a seismic shift in the Church 800 years ago—one still felt today. On Journey Italy, we walk in the footsteps of Francis and Clare, who left lives of privilege to serve the poor, the sick, and the marginalized in community.
We begin in Rome, exploring the power and wealth into which Francis was born. Then we travel to Assisi, a quiet mountain village still echoing the 12th century, to enter the sacred spaces where Francis and Clare embraced lives of radical obedience to Christ.
Journey Italy offers us a rare invitation into stillness, reflection, and spiritual renewal. We touch the stones where Francis heard Christ’s call to “rebuild my church” and are invited to consider how we, too, might lead lives rooted in authenticity, humility, and service.
