When is Launch Barcelona?

Friday, February 17 to Sunday, February 19, 2017.

Where is it?

Casa Gracia hostel
Passeig de Gràcia 116
08008, Barcelona

Check out the hostel's website, Facebook page, and reviews on

When should I arrive?

On Friday, plan to arrive at Casa Gracia between 4pm - 5pm to check in and get settled. The retreat will begin at 6pm.

How much does it cost to attend?

The price for the weekend ranges from $124 to $149 depending upon when you register for Launch.

What is included?

The Launch Barcelona rate includes a two-night stay at the hostel, including breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday mornings, and a group dinner on Friday night that is provided for everyone.

What if I need to cancel?

The $50 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.

What is housing like?

You will be staying in a hostel, which might be a first for some of you. A hostel is different from a hotel in that you pay for a bed, not a room, so there is a possibility that you will room with people not attending Launch and not of your same gender. This may be a new experience for you, so we ask you to approach it as part of crossing cultures. Also, know in advance that space is a premium in European cities - everything is smaller: apartments, houses, hotels, and hostels.

At Casa Gracia, there is a free continental breakfast, as well as a kitchen if you want to store any items for special dietary needs. Bed linens are provided, but the hostel may charge for towels, so you may wish to bring your own. There is free storage for luggage, but you may want a padlock. There is free Wi-Fi in the hostel.

What should I pack?

  • Clothes appropriate for the weather in Barcelona at this time of year; check the weather before you leave.
  • A towel, unless you want to rent one from the hostel.
  • A padlock if you want to lock your luggage at the hostel.
  • Money for meals during your travel to and from Barcelona, for historical sites than may charge minimal fees, and for any souvenirs.
  • A journal to take notes, reflect, and write down what you're hearing from God.

Which airport should I fly into?

Barcelona International Airport/Barcelona El-Prat Airport (BCN)

How can I get from the airport to the hostel?

By taxi: A taxi ride from the airport takes about 25-30 minutes (depending on the traffic) and the price is around 30-35€.

By train: There are signs inside the terminal toward the train platform. You can buy a T10 ticket (9,95€), which will give you 10 journeys on all subways, buses, and trams in Barcelona. From the airport, there is only one train leaving toward the city, so you can't miss it. Get off at Passeig de Gracia station. You can either come out of the station and walk 4 blocks up to Passeig de Gracia 116, or switch from the train to the metro Line 3/green line, and get off at the next stop, Diagonal. The hostel is located 2 minutes away from Diagonal metro stop. Come out of the metro, cross Diagonal Avenue and find Passeig de Gracia 116.

By bus: The Aerobus leaves directly from outside the terminal (signs in the terminal building) and it costs 5,90€ one-way or 10,20€ return ticket. Get off at Plaça Catalunya. Take the metro Line 3/green line from Plaça Catalunya to Diagonal. We're located 2 minutes away from Diagonal subway stop. Come out of the metro, cross Diagonal Avenue and we're at Passeig de Gracia 116.

Can I stay in Barcelona longer?

You are welcome to stay longer in Barcelona, either before or after Launch. You will need to book your own hostel for any additional nights.

When does Launch Barcelona end?

The retreat ends at 12 noon on Sunday. Please plan your travel with enough time to get from the hostel to the train/airport, likely no earlier than 2 or 3pm
