Campus Study Abroad Office

Advocating for Spiritual Identity Development in Study Abroad

University Study Abroad Offices are often not equipped for the spiritual development of students who study abroad. InterVarsity staff have a unique opportunity to step into this void and offer spiritual support to students. As many universities value serving a diverse student body, they will often be open to letting students know about spiritual resources. Our Study Abroad team aims to serve the Study Abroad Office by providing resources for students wanting to invest in their spiritual and religious identity overseas. To do so, we want to let Study Abroad Offices know we are a group on campus that is invested in student spiritual and religious growth while abroad. Below, we list resources that InterVarsity offers in the language that staff at universities will be familiar with.

Short-term excursions called “Journey”

InterVarsity offers 3- and 7-day excursion experiences exploring historic expressions of faith in Europe. These Journeys take place in France, Ireland, Italy and Spain. They are open to all students regardless of their faith background.
